The first live shot at 4 a.m. came quickly. I barely had time to complete my script and there was no one around to interview, not to mention I slipped on ice and almost fell on live TV. I was mortified, distracted and stumbled with the script and that was only my first live shot, I still had eight more to do!! By the end of the day I had covered all angles of the story and viewers were able to get the information they needed to start their day. I faced my fear head on and every time I finished a live shot I felt more confident, by staying focused on the story's message rather than being self-conscious.
